I mean yeah. I'd rather he liked the idea of a few dates at least, but yeah. Hurts a lot less if you haven't gotten attached.


[Except he sort of had gotten attached, to the idea at least. And giving up on it wasn't much fun either. He was still working on that part.]

I'll be fine Jim, honest. It's just been a really long time since I started to do anya this stuff. It'll take a while to get comfy with it again. But I never turn down booze so I'll be there.

[It was sweet and comforting. They were all the family they had in the city and it was nice to know they had each other's back. It was also a real switch to have Jim be the one worrying. McCoy wouldn't do that to the man again.]
